Paying the deposit online – what your client sees

Your client pays the deposit with one tap by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, SEPA or PayPal – after booking, in the customer area, on the appointment page or via the link in the email.

Last reviewed: 10 October 2026

Once you've set up online deposits, your client sees the Pay online now box wherever a deposit is due – in your studio's colours.

Where your client can pay

  • Right after booking online – on the booking page or on your studio homepage.
  • In the email about the booking or appointment: the Pay online now button. It leads to the appointment page – no account needed.
  • In the customer area under “Deposit due”.
  • On the appointment page (the “Cancel or reschedule” link from the reminder).

How it works

  1. Your client taps Card, Apple Pay & more (Stripe) or Pay with PayPal.
  2. The secure payment page of Stripe or PayPal opens – with the amount, the appointment number and your studio name. Your client only enters card or account details there.
  3. Afterwards they come back to the customer area or the appointment page and see Thanks – deposit paid!. The confirmation arrives by email, and the appointment page shows “Deposit paid online” with a short form of the payment ID.

If they cancel, they can try again any time. Your studio's other options (bank transfer, at the studio) are still listed below.

Direct debit

If your client pays by SEPA direct debit, they see Payment on its way: the bank takes a few days. Their spot stays reserved until then. If the debit bounces, they get an email with Pay again.

Frequently asked questions

Does my client need an account?

No. Via the link in the email or right after booking they pay without an account. In the customer area they're signed in anyway.

My client doesn't see a “Pay online now” button – why?

Online payment only appears if your Stripe or PayPal account is connected and active and the Offer to customers switch is on (Settings → Deposits). If the deposit is already paid or processing, there's nothing left to pay.

Can my client get the deposit back online?

No. You make refunds in the appointment – in full or in part, according to your studio's rules.
