Vacation, sick, guest spot or studio closed – everyone adds their own time off, managers and front desk manage everyone's.

How to add time off
- Open the calendar and tap Time off at the top – on your phone via … → Add time off.
- Choose the type: Vacation, Sick, Blocked, Public holiday or Guest spot.
- Choose who it applies to and the period (from – until, inclusive).
- Optionally add a note, e.g. “Convention Berlin” – it shows up in the calendar.
It's even quicker in the timeline: drag across the days in an artist's row with your mouse – the dialog opens with that period. Click a bar to change or delete the time off.
Time off always covers whole days. Short breaks during the day (lunch, drawing, a doctor's appointment) go into the calendar as a block.
Who can do what?
- Own absences – everyone with their own calendar column adds, changes and deletes their own time off: artists, guest artists, piercers and apprentices.
- All absences – owners, studio managers and front desk manage everyone's time off and can close the whole studio (e.g. public holiday, studio vacation).
Both permissions can be switched on or off per person in their profile under Team, section Permissions. Every change is listed in the log.
What time off does
- Calendar: the time is hatched; in the timeline and the month view you see a bar with type and note.
- Online booking: Inkfuchs offers no appointments with this person during that time – on a closed day with nobody.
- Conflicts: putting an appointment into time off is a conflict. Saving then requires the Override conflicts permission. More: Calendar: views and conflicts.
Frequently asked questions
Are existing appointments cancelled when I add a vacation?
No. Appointments in that period stay – you see them in the calendar on top of the time off and can move or cancel them.
I'm an apprentice – may I add my own vacation?
Yes, by default: the time off only affects your own column. Whether your studio wants it that way is set by the studio manager in your profile.
