Estimate duration with AI – how long will the tattoo take?

In a tattoo request, click Estimate duration in the AI assistant section. For example: approx. 4 h → one session of 4–5 h. For large pieces the estimate splits into several sessions.

How the number is made

The AI does not calculate time. It only provides features of the planned tattoo:

• Level of detail from 1 (very simple) to 5 (realism, finest transitions)
• Area – how much of the given size is actually tattooed
• Shading, colour and lines – each as a share
• Lettering yes/no and how confident the assessment is

Your studio's formula calculates from that: base pace × tattooed area × detail × shading × colour × difficult placement, plus setup per session. You set all factors under Settings → AI – examples there show right away what a change does. Defaults: 90 minutes for 10 × 10 cm of pure linework, 30 minutes setup per session, at least 60 minutes, longest session 5 hours.

Accept and adjust

If the estimate isn't quite right, change Total duration and Sessions right in the card. Accept saves it to the request, and then it's:

• the suggested length when you create an appointment with Plan appointment (the first session if there are several), with a note in the appointment notes,
• the estimated duration and number of sessions when you convert the request into a project.

You can change everything in the appointment and project as usual.

The estimate learns

Every accepted estimate stores the features, your factors and your correction. Once the related appointments are done, the actual duration is added – you see it in the request (“Actual: 3.5 h in one session”).

There is no duration estimate for piercings.
