Set up a passkey and two-factor sign-in

Protect your account with a passkey or a code from your authenticator app – your studio handles health data, so a password alone isn't enough.

Last reviewed: 10 October 2026

You'll find both under My account → Security. At the top you can see at a glance how well your account is protected.

Passkey: sign in without a password

With a passkey you sign in with your fingerprint, face or device PIN – in seconds and safe from phishing.

  1. Under Passkeys, tap Add passkey.
  2. Give it a name, for example “iPad front desk”, and tap Continue.
  3. Your device or password manager asks for your fingerprint, face or PIN. Confirm – done.

Next time you sign in, tap Sign in with Face ID – that is the button on iPhone and iPad; on Android it is Sign in with fingerprint, on a computer Sign in with a passkey. On your phone, tap Sign in on the start screen first.

Cancelled or timed out? No problem – no passkey was created, just try again. Use the ··· menu to rename or remove passkeys.

Two-factor sign-in

When you sign in with your password, Inkfuchs also asks for a 6-digit code from your authenticator app, for example Google Authenticator, 1Password or Authy.

  1. Under Two-factor sign-in, tap Set up and confirm your password.
  2. Scan the QR code with the app – or type in the key.
  3. Enter the code from the app and tap Activate.
  4. Save your backup codes: copy them or save them as a file. Each code works exactly once – they get you in if your phone is gone.

When signing in you can choose Trust this device for 30 days. No phone at hand? Have the code sent by email or use a backup code.

Signed-in devices

Under Signed-in devices you see where you're currently signed in. Don't recognise a device? Sign it out and change your password.

Frequently asked questions

Passkey or two-factor – which is better?

Both protect your account far better than a password alone. You're strongest with both: two-factor for signing in with your password, and a passkey for the quick way on your own devices.

What do I do if the phone with my authenticator app is gone?

Sign in with a backup code or have the code sent by email. Then disable two-factor sign-in under Security and set it up again with your new phone.
