Legal notice and privacy for your pages

Where your mandatory details appear, what the fields mean and how the privacy policy is created – no legal advice.

Last reviewed: 10 October 2026

Anyone running a website or taking bookings online has to say who is behind it and explain what happens to the data. In Inkfuchs you enter this once – under Settings → Legal notice & privacy. It then applies to all public pages of your studio: homepage, booking page, request, digital consent and the page for cancelling an appointment. The footer of every page shows “Legal notice · Privacy”, and the privacy checkbox in booking and request links to your privacy policy.

  1. Choose the country: Germany, Austria or Switzerland. The fields adapt – in Austria, for example, with business purpose, chamber and supervisory authority, in Switzerland with the commercial register office and UID.
  2. Enter your details: Each field shows whether it is required (without it the homepage cannot go online), common or only if applicable (e.g. registration number or VAT ID). Take from studio data fills in name, address and contact from your settings – empty fields remain your decision.
  3. Save – the legal notice appears on all pages right away.

If name, address or email are missing, the homepage stays offline and the booking page footer shows “Legal notice coming soon”. The setup checklist on the app's home page shows whether anything is missing.

Privacy policy

You have three options:

  • Template: Inkfuchs fills in a privacy policy with your details – naming you as the controller, the service providers Inkfuchs uses (hosting in Frankfurt, images in the EU, email delivery) and only the sections you actually use (online booking, request, digital consent, Instagram link). The template is a starting point – have it checked by your lawyer; you adopt it under your own responsibility.
  • Own text: You paste your own policy. Write sub-headings with ## at the start of a line and bullet points with - .
  • Link: Your policy already lives on another website – booking, request and all pages then link there.

What Inkfuchs does for it

  • Studio pages set no cookies, use no analytics or advertising services and load no fonts or maps from Google & co.
  • The map is an image from our own server (no Google embed); map apps are only linked.
  • Images and fonts come from our own server.

FAQ

Your booking page, the request form and the digital consent are public pages of your studio. That's why every studio has a legal notice and privacy policy, also on Free. Whether and which details are mandatory for you is best clarified with your lawyer or tax adviser.

Where can I see how it looks?

Below the fields you'll find View legal notice and View privacy policy – they show the saved state.

Can I offer the pages in English?

The legal texts appear in German. If your homepage is bilingual, the English version links to your legal notice and privacy policy as well.
